Academic Integrity: Types of academic dishonesty and prevention methods Chetan Muppaneni Webster University Academic Integrity: Types of academic dishonesty and prevention methods Abstract This paper discusses the different types of academic dishonesty and the prevention measures that are taken to maintain academic integrity. The need of following the codes/rules of the institutions and to promote the academic integrity is mainly on the students and the faculty. The paper discusses in-depth about how the academic dishonesty can be done as in the different approaches by the students in breaking the rules and doing unethical things. It tells about my personal incident with academic integrity, how it happened and what measures will I take to maintain academic integrity in the future.
